
Experience
Don has held many roles at Brickley DeLong, including serving as the managing partner from 2016-2020, and has over 40 years of experience. He began with the Firm in 1979, was elected partner in 1992, and was elected managing partner in 2016. As a member of the Firm’s executive committee, he has been responsible for the Firm’s overall practice, management, and day-to-day operations, and handles a portion of the Firm’s finances. Don’s exemplary leadership skills have shown through his commitment to the Firm’s sustainability, growth, and culture.
Don’s services include: audit supervision of private company engagements and non-profit organizations; management advisory services; and review and preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. His client base is focused on manufacturing, professional service firms, and closely-held businesses. He serves on both the Tax Executive Committee and the Tax Practice Management Committee for CPAmerica International.
Don and his wife reside in the Muskegon area. They have two children and four grandchildren. In his free time, Don enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing, and weekend getaways with his family at their place up north.
